L'emploi, première préoccupation des Français pour 2013.

L'emploi s'impose comme la préoccupation première des Français. 84% d'entre eux placent la lutte contre le chômage comme priorité absolue du gouvernement. Seulement 11% des Français se montrent optimistes sur l'évolution du taux de chômage en 2013. Un fort désaveu pour François Hollande qui affirme "vouloir inverser la courbe du chômage d'ici un an".

Les Français attendent un volontarisme politique

Car, si les Français semblent "un peu plus optimistes que l'an dernier" avec près de 50% d'optimistes pour 2013, leurs exigences en ce qui concerne l'action du gouvernement sont bien plus affirmées. Les priorités des Français sont nettement portées sur l'emploi (84%,+7 points), le système social (73%, +7 points), la croissance économique (70%, +13 points) et le pouvoir d'achat (69%, +4 points), avec des attentes extrêmement fortes à l'égard de l'action politique. "Les Français attendent un volontarisme politique, analyse Jean-Daniel Lévy, c'est-à-dire une capacité de la part du président à prendre un engagement sur les sujets prioritaires." Message reçu, pour François Hollande, qui affirmait dans son discours, lundi dernier, faire "tout pour la compétitivité, l'emploi et la croissance".

Manuel Valls améliore le regard sur l'insécurité

Autre évolution marquante: le regard sur l'insécurité.Thème majeur de la campagne présidentielle de 2007, il est désormais relégué à la 7^ème place du classement (57%). Manuel Valls - élu "personnalité politique préférée des Français" avec 75% d'opinions favorables selon un sondage Ifop pour Paris Match, paru mi-octobre- semble "avoir apporté une certaine amélioration sur ce point-là", commente Jean-Daniel Lévy.

Les thèmes sociétaux perçus comme "secondaires"

Les sujets sociétaux tels que le mariage pour tous ou le droit de vote des étrangers- pourtant au coeur des débats politiques de cette fin d'année 2012 - apparaissent comme très faiblement importants aux yeux des Français. Pres de sept Français sur dix estiment que ces thèmes sont secondaires parmi les différents domaines d'action du gouvernement. Preuve que, malgré les quelques réformes sociétales mises en avant par l'exécutif ces dernières semaines, les craintes des Français sur les questions sociales demeurent bien réelles.
