Frigide Barjot a rencontré François Hollande:

«Nous l'avons ébranlé»

La porte-voix des opposants au mariage homosexuel a été reçue une demi-heure à l'Elysée par le président. Un entretien qu'elle juge «consistant et sympathique».        

«Je crois que la reconnaissance de notre mouvement est faite» mais le chef de l'Etat «ne nous porte pas encore aux nues», a déclaré Virginie Merle-Tellenne alias «Frigide Barjot» à des journalistes près de l'Elysée où elle venait de rencontrer le président François Hollande pendant une demi-heure. Elle en a profité pour confirmer un nouvel appel à manifester contre le mariage pour tous le 2 février prochain.

Arrivée à l'Elysée par son entrée principale, elle en est ressortie par une autre aile, au moment où entraient par le perron Florence Cassez et sa famille pour un entretien avec François Hollande. «On nous a fait passer par derrière», «par les communs», a-t-elle ironisé.

«Consistant et sympathique»

«Le président nous a dit qu'il nous entendait, d'ailleurs il nous a gardés» et «nous avons vraiment balayé toute la problématique de la loi Taubira», sur le mariage homosexuel, a-t-elle ajouté, jugeant l'entretien avec le chef de l'Etat «consistant et sympathique». «Nous l'avons ébranlé», a-t-elle dit.

Plusieurs opposants au mariage gay ont profité de l'occasion pour se rassembler à proximité du palais de l'Elysée, où les rues proches avaient été barrées par d'importantes forces de police, pour réclamer un référendum sur cette question.

Hollande a «réaffirmé sa détermination»

La meneuse du collectif "La Manif pour tous" était accompagnée de Laurence Tcheng, du collectif "La gauche pour le mariage républicain", ainsi que d'un représentant du collectif "Plus gay sans mariage".

Dans un communiqué de l'Elysée, le chef de l'Etat explique qu'il a «réaffirmé sa détermination à voir adopter un projet qui constitue une grande avancée pour l'égalité entre tous les citoyens. Il a notamment insisté sur l'importance qu'il attache à la protection des enfants et de toutes les familles auxquelles la loi apportera une plus grande sécurité juridique. Le chef de l'Etat a, enfin, rappelé que c'est au Parlement qu'il appartient de débattre dans la sérénité sur ce texte. Et il a écarté de nouveau l'idée d'un référendum sur cette question conformément à l'esprit et à la lettre de notre Constitution», selon ce communiqué.
